Redwood Visions is committed to sustainability and
social responsibility. We'd like to work with like-minded
individuals and ventures, as well as provide resources
for organizations that are dedicated to reducing the
impact of their business operations.
What does this mean?
Reducing carbon footprint by becoming
conscious of electricity usage for light and heat,
and pursuing more sustainable alternatives whenever
possible.
Establishing a low-paper office
using recycled paper, and only when it is absolutely
necessary. This practice includes not only in-office
printing and copying, but business cards and marketing
materials as well.
Using the services of green businesses
and individuals committed to sustainability whenever
possible.
Growing around the concept of a
“triple bottom line.” This term, first coined by John
Elkington in 1994, denoted business practices that
take environmental, social, and financial responsibilities
and impacts into account when making any and all decisions.
Joining local, regional, and national
green organizations and certification groups. Redwood
Visions is currently in the process of registering
as a Bay Area Green Businesses and is exploring the
possibility of becoming a nationally-recognized Co-op
America Green Business Program member.
